Has anyone had a problem with the rear door latch not opening? First, it wasn't latching completely when shut and tonight I find it won't open at all. Any advice or direction would be appreciated. Thanks...

DETROIT - General Motors said on Friday that it was recalling nearly 106,000 sport utility vehicles in the United States and Canada to fix a rear door latch that may not close properly due to corrosion. Alan Adler, a spokesman for the world's largest automaker, said the 105,893 vehicles affected by the potential safety defect included Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL SUVs from the 2002-2003 model years. The vehicle has been at the dealers a total of 38 days. Isuzu wont cover loaner cars. What a nightmare this thing has been. Please dont buy Izusu products. Luckily the third quarter is only 3 weeks away. Remember, unless you are in a small town somewhere, you are not locked into one dealer. Call up several. I'd print out everything I could about the recall and take the copies to the dealer. While the following article doesn't specificially say GM will pay for it before the third quarter, it says GM advises anyone having troubles not to wait for ... Read More

When is the title of this forum going to change to include the Isuzu Ascender? Anyone driven one yet? have they cheapened any of it? For those of you talking about extended warranties this new quadruplet comes with a better warranty to boot: http://www.isuzu.com/owners/warranty/post_2003.html http://www.isuzu.com/models/ascender/index.html

We attended the local autorama of new vehicles here in Phoenix,AZ. I was looking at a 2003 Isuzu SUV. I noticed it is powered by a 4200 Vortec 6. Then I notice it is based off of the TB and Envoy . I believe it was called the Ascender. I did not know this vehicle was coming out. Tony

  • GMC Envoy or Isuzu Ascender?

Written by: funits on Apr 1, 2002 3:48:42 PM

Why do pictures (www.isuzu.com) of the interior of the 2003 Isuzu Ascender look EXACTLY like the interior of my ENVOY (every button, steering wheel, vents, etc.)???? Surely the interiors of the two aren't going to be IDENTICAL! I can foresee some embarrassing moments when people catch on that the two interiors are identical . . . (for me that is!).
