Had similar weird electrical problems with my 1996 GMC, after about 5 years. Replacing the battery cable (which had corroded) fixed all the gremlins. Depending on how the battery cable vibrated and sat, it would sporadically work.
To anybody who has experience with GMC Yukons. I own a 1996 GMC Yukon 4dr 4wd and apparently it's extremely rare to come across a 96 in a pull and save/junkyard. The current transmission is out, to have a pro fix it is beyond my non-existent budget, to order a transmission and have a greasemonk put it in is still beyond it. Our Yukon will crank but not start Ive replace the fuel pump and fuel psi reg and still the same thing help
I think lighted volume controls on the steering wheel would be nice but almost impossable to see (since there behind the other radio controls) without moving your head to the right and down. This takes your eyes off the road.. The + control does have a little indent on the back and the - control does not. This makes it easy to figure out and use. I have not had a ... Read More

Since purchase I have added a six inch Pro Comp suspension lift with 35" tires on 16x10 American Eagle rims, DynoMax dual in/out muffler with 2.25" pipe, K&N FIPK and Hypertech Tuner.
