The 2013 Dodge Dart SXT Rallye's center armrest opener latch (or the cover for it, anyway) came off in my hand as I tried to access the center bin.

Apparently, I open things too aggressively for the new Dart. Or maybe it's that I have insanely strong hands.

You might remember that several weeks ago part of the outer front passenger door handle broke off on me, though I was able to snap the assembly back together.

Kind of the same story with the center armrest bin. As quickly as the little plastic piece popped off, it also snapped right back on. It does feel a bit looser now, though.

    Cheap, cheap, cheap. This car was engineered with less care than is granted to a Chinese knockoff.

    If Chrysler/Fiat wants to step their game up, they're going to need to fix the build quality issues. This is what steers people away from buying their cars, I mean, seriously a door handle?? I really think the dart is a cool car, but let's pay a little bit more attention at the factory ok guys?

    These incidents seem to be isolated to you. Maybe you should stop taking the Dart out.

    Accounting, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality need to have a meeting. Otherwise, the word will get out that the new Dart is built to the old Dart's poor standards.

    Chrysler had a chance for a redo after the Fiat merger. It seemed that the press and public was ready to give them a shot with a new attention to quality (particularly interior materials). They better be careful or they're going to blow it. Goodwill will only last so long. Remember seat lever on the 500 that broke off. Now we're seeing the same types of issues in the Dart. I haven't driven either car but I've sat in both of them and have not been impressed by the interior quality. For some reason they have been praised but maybe that's just based on improvement from where Chrysler was 5 years ago. I'm not impressed. We are at least 30 years from the period where it was expected that some part of your car might fall off. This is simply unacceptable at this point and Chrysler better be careful. The Dart was promising but it feels like a let down.

    I've had my Dart for 6 months and have over 12K miles on it. I open that center armrest at least once or twice a day. I have had no issues and it is as solid as it was since I had the Dart brand new. Are you sure you're not Superman or something? breaking center armrests and door handles ;) So far I have found the Dart to be a very high quality product and I take offense to a lot of these posters who have never driven or owned a Dart to make suck comments about Fiat and the new Chrysler. Compared to what I have experienced in the past this is the best quality Mopar I have ever owned.

    dby2011, you chose poorly. Stop trying to desperately reassure yourself about being in hock for (probably 6 or more) years for this [non-permissible content removed] automobile, and know that the rest of us are laughing our asses off at you as you putter down the road, praying that the engine explodes to put you out of your misery.
