2013 Dodge Dart: New Windshield Makes a Better Door

July 15, 2013

2013 Dodge Dart

By now you know that we received a new windshield for our 2013 Dodge Dart. Everything seemed fine until there was a little early morning condensation on the glass. Guess they forgot to clean it? That's a green traffic signal you're seeing under the grime, by the way.

The defroster took care of the problem, at least temporarily. It was back again the next morning. Looks like it's time to break out the cleaning supplies.

I keep the windshields of our cars pretty clean. I can't stand it even if I just have a wiper trail around the perimeter, so that would drive me more than nuts!!

This doesn't surprise me at all, just make it a point in the future to clean your replacement windshields yourselves.

did your windshield washer (fluid) not take care of it?

Was the grime on the inside or the outside? And the dealer couldn't do the courtesy of cleaning it before handing it over to you?

It's a mold release agent. Yes, the dealer should have cleaned it off before returning the car. It's not "grime" and it should not be a surprise to an outfit like Edmunds.
