2005 Astro, read many of your blogs, looked at the diagram, opened the hood and patched the hose in 5 minutes. Thanks, if I could buy you lunch, I would.

Hi~~~ On 09/06/2010 I had posted a "trouble w/ my front ac vents on a 2005, Chevy Astro van not allowing the ac to flow out" question. The gentleman that assisted me told me abou a possible HOSE problem! That hose problem was NOT a $200+ mechanic job but marely a $3.50 hose problem that took my boyfriend a a short 1 hour start to finish job. Please check your ac ... Read More

Hi Rednekwizard, I wanted to say THANK ~YOU for the very valuable information you had sent me via email to my posting on a vacuum system problem with my 2005 Chevy Astro van yesterday. My boyfriend went up to the corner NAPA Auto Parts store this morning and spent $3.50 on some vacuum line hose. The job took just an hour to fix and now my ac runs perfect. Thank you ... Read More

HI Did you ever get the bigger exhaust system or sway bar. Helwig makes ones for the front and rear. Most Astros come with a front one but no rear. I have both and it improves handling alot. I also have a Gibson 3" exhaust I am not using. It was on my 2000 for a short while but am selling the van so I took it off. Bought a 2005 ... Read More

About time since GM has done nothing to improve them since introduction 20 years ago.      Who does GM think they are fooling? My 1999 "Chevy" Tracker was a re-badged piece of Suzuki junk. The "Chevy" Aveo is even cheaper Daewoo junk. My 1980 real Chevy van was a reliable vehicle but the 2 Geo Metro's were cheap in every sense of the word. My current 2001 Blazer LT is okay but ... Noticed that Edmunds now has pricing available on the 2005 model. Interesting since Chevrolet doesn't even have 2005 info on their website (that I can see). I do see that GM started building the 2005 Astro/Safari on 6/14. Anyone read of any changes?
