Hi gvitalik1. The money factors are the same for leases with only 10,000 miles per year, but BMW FS' 10,000 mile per year residual values are 3% higher than its 15,000 mile per year residuals. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

Hi broham1. BMW Financial Services' January buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 740i with 15,000 miles per year are .00165 and 52%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2011 750i are .00165 and 52%. If you are a loyal BMW customer, these cars' money factors would be .00030 lower. You know, this whole leasing thing is beginning to hurt my head for several reasons. There seem to be no end to the fees. Moreover, BMW 7 Series option pricing is a suckers game. I think because most 7 Series cars are leased, often by people with advance degrees after their name but not much business savvy, they think " what the heck, just roll the added cost of an option ... Hey 07montecarloss. BMW is still providing some lease support on the 2010 7-Series, but its program isn't great. BMW FS' August buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2010 750Li with 15,000 miles per year are .00185 and 50%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier. The dealer should be selling the car at around $7000 off not $3500. The $6000 is from BMW and does not hurt the dealer. According to you/Edmunds, the Dealer paid 91,155 and wants to sell at 95,500. He should be selling at invoice just to move it off the lot so he can sell more 2010's. Ask him what he is using for cap cost? and what is the money factor. ... Read More

You're welcome Stephane. Let's work up a sample payment on the car that you described using BMW's new November lease program and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2010 BMW 750i that has an MSRP of $97,880 and a selling price of $93,544 (always try to beat TMV, savvy consumers who are in areas that have a decent level of competition ... New 7 Series Loyalty?
Written by: xlr8n on Sep 11, 2009 5:26:01 PM
I'm currently leasing a BMW and looking to get into a new 2010 750i. On MSRP of about $94K, they were offering a discount of $1,000. 24 month with $5k down was $2250 a month with 12k miles a year. The problem is the recession - price has not jumped - lease rates have. Default rates are up, residual values are down, so lease rates are up. If there wasn't a recession, lease rates would be better. As to BMW customer loyalty, there is a $3,000 incentive for prior BMW leasing clients.

I am currently leasing a 2007 750 LI with only 12,000 miles on it, the lease expires mid October. I have dealt with my current dealership in NJ since the early 90's, leasing every 3 years. Oh and by the way, when China(not if) gets their way, they will be the number one market in the world by 2010/11, and what is the number one selling HELM in that country. Yes, it's true, the very second-rate, non-worthy(as you'd put it) Audi A8. Okay, let's put some numbers into perspective. How many A8's does that supposed #1 in China amount to? less than 2000 cars in a year. ... Read More

BMW and its worries
Written by: designman on Oct 14, 2006 10:13:10 AM
I don’t think BMW is worried about anything or anyone. They are clearly moving to the beat of their own drum, and that beat is platform diversity and innovation, or at least the appearance of innovation. If they were worried about Porsche they wouldn’t have produced such models as the Z3, Z4, the M varieties of the two-seaters and the Z2 in the near future. Worried about Lexus? Ooh no. BMW ... I agree with you about the IS relative to the 3-Series, but not the LS vs. the 7-Series. I've driven the 7-Series a few times now and I can't see Lexus allowing their car to ride to like that in order to get BMW-level handling. I don't think it's necessarily Lexus alone that will be trouncing Mercedes-Benz in coming years... there are three main companies that have really upped their ante, and one is supposedly going to be as high of a seller as BMW and Mercedes-Benz by 2010: Audi- strongest MB/BMW competitor, because it has luxury and German engineering Infiniti- very sporty; closer to BMW than Mercedes-Benz Lexus- the complement to Infiniti, Lexus is to ... New Aluminum Jaguars

The next Jaguar S-Type will likely use the new XJ's aluminum chassis and have styling cues from the 2001 Jaguar R Coupe and the 2003 Jaguar RD-6.
