LOS ANGELES — Jaguar revealed today an image of the 2015 F-Type Coupe, the hardtop version of the heralded F-Type Convertible that the world knew was only a matter of time before Jaguar would produce. The car will have its world debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show later this month.
Jaguar revealed little advance detail about the F-Type Coupe other than to say it would uphold the "uncompromised design vision" of the C-X16 concept car that debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Ian Callum, Jaguar's director of design, said in a statement, "We've been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the F-Type Convertible, but for me the purity of creating a sports coupe is a uniquely satisfying process. I know that both visually and dynamically, F-Type Coupe raises the bar yet again."
Edmunds says: The production F-Type Coupe should look fabulous, but don't expect to see the C-X16 concept's KERS-type hybrid propulsion.
