LOS ANGELES — The 2014 Dodge Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions celebrate a major milestone for the Dodge brand. The special models debuted at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.

They will go on sale in the first quarter of 2014.

The 2014 Dodge Charger 100th Anniversary Edition starts at $34,490, including a $995 destination charge and the $2,200 Anniversary package. The package is available only on Charger SXT Plus or R/T Plus trim levels.

The 2014 Dodge Challenger 100th Anniversary Edition starts at $31,790, including a $995 destination charge and the $2,500 Anniversary package. The package is available only on Challenger SXT Plus or R/T Plus trim levels.

A new High Octane red pearl coat paint is optional. The cars come with commemorative badging, a unique key fob, 20-inch aluminum wheels and a special limited-edition owner's kit and a commemorative book that celebrates 100 years of Dodge history.

Other details include a flat-bottom steering wheel, rear spoiler, Beats Audio and performance suspension and steering.

The cars can be equipped with either a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine or the optional 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Edmunds says: If you count John and Horace Dodge among your personal heroes, Chrysler has a couple of special models for you.
