LOS ANGELES — The 2014 Nissan GT-R, which gets a few tweaks, including an optional premium interior package, is set for a U.S. debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.

The 2014 GT-R goes on sale in the U.S. in January, but pricing has not yet been announced. The 2013 Nissan GT-R starts at $97,820, including a $1,000 destination charge.

Dan Bedore, a Nissan North America spokesman, said in a phone conversation with Edmunds on Tuesday that he could not provide an estimate on 2014 GT-R pricing or volume allocations for the U.S.

The optional premium interior package includes Red Amber semi-aniline leather touches with hand-stitching on the front seats. It also includes Red Amber accents on the instrument panel, steering wheel, door trim, armrests and shift knob.

The Nissan GT-R's exterior styling is unchanged for the 2014 model year.

The 2014 GT-R gets a carryover 545-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine linked to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

New fuel injectors have been added for enhanced torque response in the 4,500 to 6,000 rpm range, Nissan said. For 2014, an aluminum nameplate is added to each engine showing the name of the engine builder.

Nissan said fuel economy on the GT-R remains at 16 mpg in city driving and 23 mpg on the highway.

Edmunds says: The biggest questions about the 2014 GT-R — does it get a price increase and how much is that new interior — remain unanswered at this point.
