GENEVA — The Subaru Viziv Concept, a future-generation crossover, will debut at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, according to Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries.

Subaru said the Viziv name is "a coined word inspired by the phrase 'Vision for Innovation.'"

The concept "represents a direction of new designs and new technologies enhancing the Subaru brand into the future," said Fuji Heavy Industries in a statement on its Web site. "It is a future-generation crossover concept embodying the brand value of 'Enjoyment and Peace of Mind.'"

It said the concept suggests "the brand's direction."

No production plans or technical specifications were disclosed.

Subaru will also display an Outback diesel at the Geneva show and the 2014 Subaru Forester.

Edmunds says: A tongue-twister of a name and a bit of a risky design should make the Subaru Viziv Concept stand out at Geneva.
