DETROIT — The latest iteration of the Acura NSX Concept debuted on Tuesday at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show with a focus on supporting the psychological and emotional aspects of driving a supercar at the limit, said Honda.

The Acura NSX Concept's interior was showcased in this latest unveiling.

The interior is founded on a "Human Support Cockpit" theme. But the Japanese automaker stopped short when it came to detailing the psychic strain of driving a supercar.

"The interior package boasts outstanding visibility, an exotic driving position and an intuitive 'Simple Sports Interface' that minimizes interior clutter, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience," said Honda in a statement.

The interior features a rather classic supercar look, with lots of red and black touches, along with copious amounts of leather.

Honda says the concept illustrates "the next-generation NSX interior design."

A year ago the automaker announced that the NSX will get a mid-mounted direct-injected V6 engine mated to Acura's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD or Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive system. The new NSX will be built at a new production facility in central Ohio.

Edmunds says: No worries. The Acura NSX buyer will get the spa treatment behind the wheel.
