I purchased a 2009 Vue with 90,000 miles, super clean car, new tires, battery well serviced but it required a transmission which as I did my research is quite common for this milage. Because it needed a transmission this clean car with a fully rebuilt transmission represents excellent value and about a 50% discount to retail in my market. I plan on doing very occasional towing after … fitting it with a trailer hitch and using it as a winter car for general transportation (to keep my classic luxury cars off the road in the winter months)... so here we are almost through the first winter... the car has been nearly flawless.. I needed a new receiver for the door lock remote controls... Love the way it works and drives...excellent quality and it feels like a brand new car.
Two years after writing my original review not much has changed.. No mechanical repairs, strictly service - I updated the head lights to LED... I don't drive a great deal but the car has proven to be very reliable... and I LIKE reliable.. I use it for occasional towing - utility trailer, boats for short distances... All systems are functional and the car is still great value..
So here we are yet another two years since my last update...and again not ONE mechanical repair, only service the VUE being perfectly reliable.. At this rate considering what it cost me this vehicle does not owe me the time of day and it works perfectly well for my needs.. I can still sell this vehicle for MORE than it cost me to buy and put on the road...
Now three yeas later, the car is perfect.. change the oil and not much else needed... This has. been an excellent car to own...
