2023 Lexus RZ 450e
We own an RX350 and have been very happy with it. When I first found out Lexus was coming out with an all electric vehicle, I was very excited, until I heard about the range. At that time I said "thanks, but no thanks". A few months later I went with a friend to the Lexus dealer to test drive the car...just out of curiosity. We were both very impressed. The sales person told us … about the Lexus Reserve program that would give us a free loaner car for up to 30 days within a three year window. Parking my new car at home and putting the miles from a long road trip on another vehicle appealed to me. That made me re-think the purchase, so I bought it. We did install a level 2 charger. I drive all over and end up charging maybe once a week. I would not take this on a road trip, but 98% of my driving is around town. The car is fast, quiet, luxurious, reliable and has a LOT of technology. When solid state batteries get here (Toyota is saying by 2027), that will be a "game changer". Until then, I look for excuses to go out driving. UPDATE; I've now owned this car for almost a year and a half and still LOVE it. Since I have a level 2 charger at home, I've never taken it to a public charger. For long road trips, I just get a free loaner at Lexus and for anything longer than around 150 miles, were take my wife's RX350. I have had zero issues with this car.
