The 2024 Titan has a standard V8 engine, a comfortable cabin and enough towing capacity for most jobs. It's a perfectly competent full-size light-duty pickup truck. Otherwise, the Titan fails to impress. It doesn't have enough personality to make up for the lack of choice in powertrains, features and body styles that rivals offer. The Ford F-150, Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 are better trucks overall.
Pros
- Pro:Comfortable front seats
- Pro:Every version has a V8 engine
- Pro:Many advanced driver safety features are standard
Cons
- Con:High base price
- Con:Poor fuel economy
- Con:No alternative engines or axle ratios
- Con:Maximum towing and payload capacities fall behind class leaders

2024 Nissan Titan Review
Overview

With the 2024 Titan, Nissan targets the most popular full-size light-duty pickup truck configurations with a focus on value, off-roading and luxury. Every Titan comes with a V8 engine, but the reality is that even with a V8, the Titan falls short of competitors when it comes to towing trailers, hauling payload and fuel economy. The Titan's design and engineering date to 2016, making it the grizzled veteran of the segment, and its age shows. But if you want to drive a truck few other people own, the Titan might be right for you. Learn more by reading the full Edmunds Expert Rating of this Mississippi-made pickup below.
Edmunds spotlight: Is Nissan discontinuing the Titan?
For two decades, Nissan has tried to crack the light-duty full-size pickup truck code with two generations of the Titan. It's been a likable enough truck but the reality is that it hasn't matched the sales success of trucks from Ford, General Motors, Ram and Toyota. Will Nissan keep trying to crack the code? Only Nissan's execs know for sure but we wouldn't be surprised if the Titan gets discontinued in the next year or two.
Competitors to consider
To make up for its considerable shortcomings, the 2024 Nissan Titan would need to offer an irresistibly compelling feature or two to catapult it over one of its rivals. It doesn't, so we recommend checking out our top-rated truck in the segment, the Ford F-150. We'd find it hard to believe the Ford wouldn't meet your needs, but if the F-150 is a non-starter, consider the Ram 1500 for its smooth ride and thoughtful details or the Toyota Tundra for its impressive power and scratch- and dent-resistant cargo bed.
Which Titan trim does Edmunds recommend?
By choosing the Titan SV, you get a choice of cab styles and drivetrains. In addition, you can choose from the SV's standard appearance, the Midnight Edition, and the new-for-2024 Bronze Edition. Plus, depending on how you configure the SV, it offers the most towing and payload capacity.

2023 Nissan Titan PRO-4X 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 9A)
Wow - The guy who wrote this review must be suicidal….lol. What an awful, untruthful, and one side review. Is this guy a political commentator?
I love my Titan - Why do I need ten engine, axle, transmission choices? You buy the truck with one choice right? You don’t drive the V6 on Monday then choose the V8 on Friday. The warranty is average…lol. The warranty is bumper to bumper … 100k - Is that average? I would say like anything in life go experience things for yourself and don’t listen to the guy that never leaves his parents basement. Honestly I have owned the other trucks and really enjoy my Pro4x. It does what a truck should do and is very comfortable.

2023 Nissan Titan PRO-4X 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 9A)
I test drove Rams, Silverado’s and F 150s. The Nissan is a great truck for a great price that simply outdoes all of these trucks. I had a 2018 pro 4x, that was bullet proof. That is why I got another. Interior materials especially the leather look great! Seats and visibility are excellent. Gas mileage is on par with the others. Ride quality is excellent. I think this truck is definitely … under rated and should be considered by all before you make a purchase decision. Great warranty also helps in deciding factor. Truck stands out from the rest in it’s stying. You do not see one on every corner!
Responsive and comfortable

2024 Nissan Titan PRO-4X 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 9A)
Having owned a 2020 Expedition Max Limited, and driven a Ram 1500 Longhorn, both with 6-cylinder engines and turbo, my Titan is much more responsive. Power is good, and doesn't lag like the Ram and the Expedition did. Also, this truck rides much better than the Ram did. I opted for the Pro-4x.
To those complaining about the mileage: This was stated on the label before you bought it, … and you still bought it. It's a truck with a big v8. Mileage will not be great.
It is very comfortable. Nissan's Zero-Gravity seats shine. They are MUCH more comfortable than the Expedition's and Ram's seats.
Also, it has plenty of safety features that you usually have to pay more for in other brands. My $88k Expedition Max Limited did not have the surround-view camera, and also did not have genuine leather and panoramic sunroof. The same goes for the Ram.
Also, neither had the LED headlights standard as the Titan did - that would have cost more.
It's a great value for us, and it comes with a 5-year 100K mile bumper to bumper manufacturer warranty. This was MUCH better than the other two vehicles mentioned here.
Great truck

2023 Nissan Titan PRO-4X 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (5.6L 8cyl 9A)
I had to post a review when I read the negative underwhelming warranty comments by Edmonds. It has a 5 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty, which is the best in class. I have a 2023 Pro4X. I love the way it drives and rides. The locking rear makes it much better in snowy conditions while in 2WD than the 2019 RAM I had. Power is on par with the 5.7 HEMI. I haven’t towed … with it yet. Interior space is smaller than the RAM, but I like some of the features better.
Negatives so far: Fuel economy sucks and premium is recommended. I get 14 MPG around town and 17 on the interstate. The trim around the interior door handles already has two minor chips after a month of owning.
