Dutch Miller Hyundai
Dealership Sales Review
I purchased a new 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with the understanding that if I had an problems with the vehicle all I had to do was to bring the unit back for service and they would give me a compatible vehicle to drive while my vehicle was being serviced. This did no happen as described but rather I made two trips to the dealership service dept. and I was told that I had to bring the vehicle back to them so they could get someone to look at the problems. I asked them if they could go ahead and get someone that day, since I live about 16 miles from the dealership. I was told that they could not do that, since I had to schedule someone to look at the vehicle before they could schedule the repairs. Then I would have to bring the vehicle back at time. I asked the question for clarification, do you mean that I will need to make two additional trips to get this service done? The answer was, "yes". I went to the sales person who sold me the vehicle and told him of my problems. He went back to the service desk and talked to the manager. He walked right by me, without speaking and left me standing there. One of the problems I had was a warped rotor on the front left which was making a lot of noise when applying the brakes. Thankfully the rotor did not crack or burst before I got the vehicle home. I went to the parts store, purchased a new rotor and replaced the rotor myself. I had to purchase the part, I made two trips to the dealership with no results. I later called the Hyundai Customer Service to make a complaint, but after describing the service history, I was told that they do not have any control over their sales distributer. In short, they brag about their warranty but I have not seen any action or concerns that would lead me to believe they have any.
