We were very prepared with all the information about the automobiles we were interested in including searches of local inventory and all the data Edmunds could provide. When we went into the dealership, Shane met us and was really a great personality! He was never pushy and really was interested in making sure we were satisfied with every step of the process. We were interested in both the Ford Focus as well as the Hyundai Elantra and when we didn't buy on the first visit, they sent us away with paperwork which said what kind of a deal they could make and Shane told us to just give him a call if there were any additional questions we came up with that he could help us with. As it turned out, we found that there were other questions and Shane responded quickly with answers for us. Once we decided that we were going to purchase the Ford, we went back in with the info that another local dealership had the specific vehicle with all the options we wanted. We told them we were willing to take the white even though it wasn't our first choice. Burt - Shane's manager - didn't want us to settle - they went online and searched a broader area than I was able to search and found the same car in one of my choice colors and it was even less expensive. They sent someone to Portland to pick the car up the next day. Filling out the paperwork with Eric was very pleasant and the entire process was complete that evening. We said what we thought was a fair trade-in value for our car, what we thought was fair, based on all our research for the new car, and got the $1000 customer cash and $500 rebate Ford offered on top of everything. We would recommend Shane and all those we worked with at Fugate Ford to anyone looking for a new car. They were up-front, not pushy and genuinely wanted to make the experience easy for us. Because Enumclaw is "out of the way", they get much of their business from referrals so they work dilligently to make sure that each customer is treated in a way that will result in growing their business in the long term.
