Dealership Sales Review
I went in on a Friday evening looking to drive a Forte. The salesman showed me the new 2014 and took me on test drive. After getting back to the dealership he asked what I was looking to spend and about financing. After telling him I had a car to trade in valued at $1500 and $1500 I had for a down payment I wanted to finance $15,000. That would have put the price of the car at about $18,000 which was $2,500 less than sticker price. The salesman came back and told me that was fine and he would draw up the paperwork. He came back 20 minutes later and had the paperwork to finance me at 18,000 with my down payment and trade in. After I explained that if I gave him $3,000 worth of car and cash and then financed $18,000 I would be paying $1,000 more than the MSRP he got his business manager to try to convince me I was getting a great deal. After an hour of going back in forth I left as it was late and we were getting no where. I went back the next day to talk to a sales manger who again tried to get me to pay more than the car was priced at and make me think I was getting a deal. After writing the math on a piece of paper and still being told I was wrong and then being offered a base model at my price ( which was valued at $2,000 less on the website) I lost patience and walked out. This was the worst experience I have ever had in buying anything. Beware of this dealership as they will charge you more for a car than it is priced at and tell you how lucky you are that they will do that for you.
