CMA's Colonial Honda
Dealership Sales Review
My family has bought new Hondas from Colonial since 2006. My sister and I recently attempted to buy two 2015 Fits to replace our 2013 models purchased from Colonial. I was unable to get what I wanted as a trade in which is fine but the salesman continued to insult my intelligence by only wanting to talk monthly payments and not price. My sister payed 12000 down and had an approval letter from her credit union and contact and fax numbers in order to finance the remainder. We were told when everything was complete that either they had to have the money from the credit union in hand or they would put dealer tags on the car and she could return when the credit union sent the check. Since we live too far from the dealer this was unacceptable. She did not have this problem when buying her 2013 car in the same way. The managers rude reply was that he was not at the dealer then. Apparently they never tried to contact the credit union. We drove to West Broad Honda in Richmond and the process was effortless. She got her car in much less time than we had spent at Colonial and they did not understand why we had a problem at Colonial. The credit union rep said he had never ran into this problem before and suggested that Colonial didn't deserve our business. I agree. Our loyalty apparently means nothing.
