Exceptional Vehicle, Exceptional Dealership. How Rare is That?
Written by TacoBelle on 06/08/2018

I just bought a truly exceptional used truck - from a truly exceptional dealership. How rare is that? I could write a review about how great Toyota products are (especially the Toyota Tacoma) but this is really a review about G. W. Enterprises, the amazing dealership where I recently purchased my latest Tacoma truck. (I will preface all this by stating I am guilty of being a former college professor, with a tendency to overly research topics beforehand, so quite a bit of thought goes into things before I buy). I have wanted to purchase a reliable, good, used Tacoma, for some time. I soon learned they are often very difficult to find. My frustrating truck search had been ongoing until I recently discovered G.W. Enterprises and Mark Myers, the dealer. At that point, I was simply not anticipating such a positive experience while purchasing a vehicle! I became aware of Mark Myers and his dealership while on-line and was immediately impressed with his clear, informative and very helpful website. It is both elegantly well-designed and actively maintained. The website obviously strives to thoroughly and honestly inform the potential buyer about the various available vehicles. There are absolutely no gimmicks - no deception. After having viewed many previous websites during my search, an honest and forthright one like this, was such a breath of fresh air. Mark obviously goes to great lengths to take dozens of good-quality, detailed photos of his vehicles. Along with accurate and clearly listed information about individual trucks, the customer really has a wonderful opportunity to learn, evaluate and compare more about the options on all the vehicles available at his dealership. Another positive feature about G. W. Enterprises is that it "specializes" in good quality used Toyota trucks. It has been my experience that most places have very few Toyotas in stock - regardless of quality. So I gave Mark a call to set up an appointment to come in. I was immediately as impressed with Mark, as I was his website. He is exceptionally polite and thoroughly professional. He took time to really listen to me and to my explanation of what kind of truck I thought I was looking for. I appreciated his relaxed sales approach - absolutely no pressure - which made me also relax and then enjoy the business of test driving - not just one - but a number of vehicles that afternoon. This opportunity allowed me to compare features on the spot and make better decisions about precisely what I needed in a truck at this time, without feeling rushed. Mark was also particularly accommodating, considering I have a very large, furry white dog that is trained to go everywhere with me due to some health limitations. My dog was not only allowed to test drive with me, but actually welcomed warmly. (I learned Mark also has a fondness for Huskies!) My dog trusts Mark. I think she is a good judge of character, too. I honestly appreciated both my dog and I being treated so well, but I also really got the feeling that Mark treats ALL his customers with genuine kindness and respect. I found the Tacoma I had dreamed about, but never thought I would find. We negotiated a price and I was entirely satisfied with it. (Truth be known, I really did get a "good deal"!) The truck was beautiful - clean and thoroughly well-maintained. When my mechanic looked at it, he told me he had "truck envy". He said that the only rust on the vehicle, he wiped off with the tip of one finger. He laughed when he opened the engine compartment and commented that "most folk's supper tables are not this clean!" After thoroughly examining the truck, he could not find anything wrong with it. He told me: this really is a phenomenal vehicle. That is exactly what I thought, too. There was a short lapse of time until I could come back and close on the vehicle sales (I live several hours drive away from the dealership). During the ensuing period, Mark and I conversed by phone often. I appreciated staying in contact and felt Mark was very attentive, but never seemed pushy nor did he attempt to rush the process. There were no surprises at the time of purchase, no extras or unexpected "stuff". It was all very straight forward. He even gave me some nice floor mats with my truck. But, the real surprise has been since I actually purchased my truck. Mark has literally gone well above and beyond anything I certainly ever imagined, simply to help me out. I had had to leave my personal car at Mark's dealership when driving my "new" Tacoma home, several counties away. I couldn't get back to the dealership immediately to pick it up, but during that time, Mark discovered that one of the tires on my car was on the verge of a blow-out! It was actually rather remarkable that I had not had an accident on the highway, before arriving to purchase my new truck. Mark in all likelihood, saved my life. Because the tire was so dangerous and could not be driven, I decided to bring with me to the dealership, a whole set of new tires for the car. To my surprise, Mark ended up putting all four tires on my car for me! Before everything was said and done, he had also ended up fixing or solving some other problems with my personal vehicle, as well. Please realize - Mark did not get anything out of this and certainly did not have to do anything! I have come to feel that Mark simply has an enormous amount of personal integrity and is so knowledegable about vehicles, he is naturally alert to a lot of problems and when he is aware of them, he honestly helps other people out as he can. What a wonderful person! I think Mark Myers and his own brand of personal excellence is about as unique as his super dealership and the exceptional vehicles he routinely sells.
