Sykora Family Ford
Dealership Sales Review
My wife and I went to Sykora Ford at about 3:30 on a Friday afternoon a couple of weekends ago. We walked into the show room, and no one approached us. We looked at the Flex that was sitting on the showroom floor, walked around it, sat in it, and walked around it again. A saleman walked by and said something about do you like the color and then kept walking. He never came back. I could see a couple of sales people with customers and 3 or 4 other sales people in a glass walled office off the showroom floor. We walked around the showroom for about 5 minutes, and no one approached us. We decided to walk the lot and looked at several cars. No one approached us. We sat on the bench outside the front door to rest for several minutes, and no one approached us. Then we walked back through the showroom one last time. This time the receptionist looked up but did not say anything. We walked out the side door and then got in our car. Out of curiousity, we waited a couple of minutes in the car before driving off just to see if anyone noticed us leaving. No one approached us. I'm don't like high pressure dealerships. I don't like dealerships where they grab you before you have enough shut off the engine when you pull in. However, I've never seen a place where you are completely ignored unless you approach a salesman on your own. I can't comment on the sales process. We were there a total of about 30 minutes. We were definitely interested, but didn't get a chance to see the sales process. We were driving by the dealership a couple of days ago, but my wife now refuses to stop there. Guess we will buy somewhere else.
