Ed Payne Motors
Dealership Sales Review
I Sent online requests for price quotes to Ed payne Motors for a Dodge 3500 Truck. I never got any e-mail price quotes as I clearly and explicitly requested on my online inquiry. I got several phone calls instead and finally agreed to go to the dealership to "get a great deal" on a 3500 Dodge truck I wanted. My visit went as follows: I met with a guy in the sales department that knew less about the new 6.7 Cummins than I did. He also knew less about the main competitor vehicle(F-350) than I did. He insisted no one ever sells a truck at Invoice pricing and is also able to generate a profit for the dealership. Payne motors proved to be a real pain as all their "deals" are MSRP minus "Payne discounts" which are actually the Cash to Buyer rebates from Dodge. Their "awesome deal" was actually the invoice price after all the rebates were deducted from the MSRP. These figures and stories just did not add up, so I walked out of the dealershi and kept getting calls for several days urging me to come in to work out a "good deal" so I could drive out in a new truck.
