Dealership Sales Review
Tldr: Inconsiderate timewasters [non-permissible content removed], avoid at all costs. One of the worst customer experiences of my life. We called about a specific car we found on CL, told them we were coming from Austin. We get there around 1pm after driving 3 hours and check the car out, no issues there. Talk about payment and present them the check from our bank. They say they'll take it to the finance guy to verify. We tell the salesperson, "We like it, but we're really hungry, can we get lunch and come back while you work out the bank check?" They then tried to get me to sign a paper agreeing to pay for not only the car, but the repairs they already made to the car as well as their "coverages" that totalled to an additional 33% the cost of the car's "no haggle low price". After refusing to sign, they sent sales manager and finance guy back and forth to us, trying to convince us to pay for items that should have either been included in the listed price, or easily removed, and that's when things came to a halt. Each new person they sent us over the course of THREE MORE HOURS we told them immediately, "We're starving, we haven't eaten lunch, let's close this deal" and each person refused to authorize the removal of their "protections" and the repairs. These people were being sent 30 minutes apart and if they didn't have my check we would have walked. After ignoring us for hours after taking our money, we hunted down their finance guy ourselves in the back room to close our own sale (without their BS charges) and finally got to eat after nearly FOUR HOURS. This whole deal could have been done in an hour and we wouldn't have missed lunch or been forced to drive back to Austin during rush hour. Then, when my license plates arrived, they called to have me pick them up even though we were told they would be overnight shipped to us. I explained this on the phone and they said no problem. Week goes by no plates, call again, "We'll ship them tomorrow". I called with a question for the salesperson, was told I'd get a call back and never did. I called three times asking for my plates and they were not sent. I then had to call and demand to speak to the store manager multiple times to get someone to finally send my plates, the day that the temporary tags expired. This entire experience was horrendous, would give 0 stars if I could, stay far far far away. Update August 2025: We called about a specific car we found on CL and ended up spending 4 hours at the dealership to work it out where the price offered matched the listed price on Craigslist. After discussing our experience with the general manager, I'm hopeful that others will not have the same experience.
