New Braunsfels location is not good
Written by Disgruntled on 12/22/2024

I would not recommend EchoPark in New Braunsfels. I never met the man who facilitated the purchase of the car. It's unfortunate that one bad salesman can ruin the buyer's experience purchasing a car but my salesman gave me the creeps. His communication was sporadic. I'm not sure how their text messaging platform works but sometimes he would respond and other times not. They give priority and pressure to use only their financing and to purchase their service agreements. Why the pressure? My salesman told me I could not buy the vehicle without using their network of lenders which is total BS and my main complaint. When I arrived to get the vehicle it hadn't been washed. The interior was dirty. On my way home I noticed there was a crack in the windshield! I paid $60K for a car and it's dirty? that's how I was treated. When I showed up with the cashiers check for the majority of the car, neither the car nor the paperwork was ready. My salesman wasn't even present. The salesman who checked me out was as good as possible scrambling to read and know the agreements in the contract. My financing was with USAA and the contract didn't even reflect the correct amount which is a big problem. Now EchoPark actually owes me $300+. Fortunately, USAA is working out the mishap on my behalf. I have a bad taste in my mouth and I still have to go back and see if they will fix the crack in my windshield. I don't recommend the New Braunsfels location at all.

Buyer beware. Jord L. Responded to a post I made previously. Under the auspices of appearing to help, he provided two phone numbers in his response that go straight to voicemail and are not returned. While he deceptively appears to want to help and address customer concerns, neither EchoPark in New Braunfels or Jord specifically are helpful. It's been over 2 weeks and no one has responded to me about repairing my cracked windshield that was there the day I drove off the lot and now my check engine light for oil is on! When we went to pick up my car, my husband insisted the purchase a new panel for the back of the car. Had he not and had they not agreed, they would have sold me the car without a screwdriver needed to change a flat tire! Can you imagine that? Also, Jord knew the amount of the vehicle I was financing with USAA, And he had the paperwork reflect a smaller and different amount. USAA called to tell me the problem. EchoPark should have known the amount must reflect the exact loan amount. Fortunately USAA is handling the discrepancy for me as they owe us about $300. Why did they do this? They knew the exact amount of cash I was bringing to the closing. This occurred because he quit replying to my emails and texts. I regrettably returnee the vehicle on Friday. But I never should have bought the vehicle. When you show up to a closing with a 5 digit $& cashier check and a business is not ready with a contract and paperwork to complete the purchase, walk away and you have to wait almost 2 hours only to find your new car hasn't been detailed and they are scrambling to do so, trust your gut feeling. Walk away. They'll be another vehicle for you elsewhere. These people are bad news. How does it get more agregious than this? Well I drove the car for about 2 weeks. You have to return it in 7 days. Now is owe them about $3K to cover tax, title and licensing. That's how.
