I knew today is Apr 1st, but I am telling the true story, not joke. my honda dealer gave me the quote of 2008 Pilot EXL 2WD no Nav, no RES OTD price which is $29747. They want to keep $2700 among Honda $3500 market support into pocket. I did the price negotiation yesterday. I gave them the price everyone got here slightly below $27000. Today I got their email like this: "I wanted to touch base and let you know, that I have removed you from Honda Promotional emails. If I can help in the future, please let me know." I am not regretting that I didn't get the car. [violative content deleted] I am going to get volkswagon passat komfort wagon instead. Thank you frank brown for saving me the gas. BTW, This honda dealer is family own in Lubbock, TX.

As with most every story, there is always two sides. In this case, we had negotiated with this customer for 30 days both on a 07' EX-L Odyssey & a 08' EX-L Pilot. Twice, our outgoing emails to this customer bounced because of a false email address. At that time we moved the customer to an inactive status until we could secure a functional email address. Having done so, we restored the customer to an active status and continued the negotiation process. We were, in the end, $2,700.00 away from the price the customer demanded. In his last email he said our price was not reasonable and that he believed we couldn't make anything happen and that he was shopping other dealers. We listen to our customers and do not continue to unnecessarily email them once they have closed the negotiation door. We moved the customer, once again, to an inactive status and emailed the customer to that effect. We regret that we cannot, in every case, provide the customer with the exact price they demand. But we do appreciate the opportunity to have tried.

It is ture that I visited dealership 30 days after my first quote becaue my wife and I have a sever flu and coughing at that time. During that time, we didn't do any price negotiation and they had two 2007 honda odyssey vans. After we first visited, only one van left. My wife didn't like it, so we made another quote for 2008 van because they didn't give the quote last time. They want to sell 2007 first. but the 2008 odyssey quote never come. Their email address claim doesn't stand. Nothing wrong with Yahoo email server and my email address. You can't send out the email doesn't mean my yahoo email address was wrong or refuse to receive the email. So We moved to quote Honda Pilot. They gave me the quote $1000 more than one month ago and the $3500 incentive is still there. It really hurts your feeling. Yes, I closed the door in the email and I don't want to play the game like that. We removed Honda from the top of our list. At the end, I still believed that my offer price is reasonable based on my research online.
