Dealership Sales Review
First of all, in shopping for a new car, I searched all the Houston-area honda dealerships I could find on Google. I decided to go to a dealership that was closest to me so that I could test drive the car and take a look at it (FYI- this was NOT Russel & Smith Honda). This one dealership I went to reminded me of WHY I hate car shopping. It is late in evening after I got home from work....I walk up to the dealership which looks super old and run down, and I see 5 guys waiting in the foyer, and they are all looking at me with this look that makes me feel like, "HERE we gooooo...let's get this over with." The salesman that I talked to was nice.......but when all was said and done, I realize now in hindsight that they kept nickel-and--diming me. They would use tactics on me and hold back on reasonable requests (like, can we add weatherproof floor mats? Their answer..."NO" ) ****THIS IS THE MUST READ PART**** Russel & Smith called me. The sales manager, NICK, iS INCREDIBLY GREAT! The difference with Nick and Russel & Smith is that he TRULY made me feel like I was getting a good deal...because he made offers that truly COULD NOT BE BEAT by anyone. He didn't pressure me, make me feel bad, use other tactics like the other salesmen I've met, or "hold back" on the deals. He just put it ALL out on the table...and NO ONE out there could beat it. When I decided to go to Russel and Smith to buy the car, the initial dealership I mentioned called me multiple times...saying that fine, just come to their dealership and they will give me the deal...they won't beat it, but they'll match whatever Nick at Russel & Smith offered. Nick didn't play that way...he would always give me the BEST incentive, quickly and low-stress, and make it EASY for me to decide where to get the car. When I made it to the Russel & Smith Honda dealership, Nick introduced me to a sales consultant named Zee Usmani. He was EXCELLENT! No other dealerships took me through such a low stress, well presented informational session of the car I was interested in. He let me test drive it and was very knowledgeable of the car's features. When I decided to seal the deal and buy the car, he was there everystep of the way, even installing the FREE weatherproof floor mats and (eventually later) the license plates and making sure everything was just right. He even gave me additional pointers, set up my blue tooth connection to the car, and made sure to answer all questions I had. Thank you Zee! Also, I wanted to mention, the Russel and Smith facility is SUPER nice. Very spacious, very clean! It felt good going there to get a new car. It wasn't like the other dealerships where I'm driving on broken roads and walking into a worn down building. I will definitely make sure to bring my family members here right off the bat for next vehicle purchases. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.
