Mac Haik Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram

We purchased an 03 Honda Civic from Mac Haik in October 2007. The car VIN was not registered to the plates on the car at the time purchase. The dealership placed the wrong name on the title. They then had a non owner of the car carry insurance on the vehicle so the sale could be made. Upon attempting to trade the car in, we found that the car had a Salvage title due to water damage. Mac Haik attempted to take the car in on a trade but never followed up. They made no attempt to rectify the title issue. The worth of the vehicle is nothing due to the title issue. The car now has come up for re-registration. The title now at the Texas Department is not only listed as salvage, but it states that it is revoked. We can not drive the car on an expired registration. Mac Haik has made no effort to correct the problems with what is a total misrepresentation of the car and the errors in the title. With no title, the car is not able to pass a safety check or have insurance coverage. Mac Haik needs to rectify this problem. They will not assume any responsibility for their unethical business practices. This car belongs to a hard working young man. They need to provide him with a legal car! Tom Wydo
