AutoNation Toyota Gulf Freeway
Dealership Sales Review
Hello, I would like to share my feedback on my recent buying experience. I purchased a 2013 Camry SE on August 23, 2013 from AutoNation Scion Gulf Freeway (Toyota). Below are my reasons for choosing this location and my review of this dealer. 1) Location. I Live in east Pearland and having a nearby location where I can easily take my vehicle for future service is a big convenience. Having purchased a few options I have already interfaced with the service department and I have had a very positive experience with the friendliness of the service department. Additionally, the facility is very well kept and they have a nice waiting area. 2) Very courteous and friendly sales person Joel C. as well as the sales manager David M. Joel was very helpful in explaining the features of the Avalon and Camry vehicles I was interested in viewing. Joel was not pushy nor rushing me into buying and was very courteous in answering all my questions. It was also very nice that Joel spoke Spanish so I recommend seeing him if you require a Spanish speaking sales person. For this purchase I also had a vehicle to trade in, which I had appraised elsewhere and at and at AutoNation. The AutoNation appraisal came in lower than my other offer, but after some lengthy negotiating David respectfully matched the appraisal price from elsewhere and we finalized the sale price. As I mentioned above, because of some extras I purchased, Joel and David made arrangements for me to borrow a loan vehicle, which was extremely convenient and helped with my schedule of taking kids to/from school. 3) My rating: 4 out of 5 Due to my wife's and my schedule, we were not able to complete all my paperwork the same day we finalized our sales deal, so I made an EARLY follow up appointment for the following day. Once we arrived for our appointment we were again graciously greeted by Joel and David who said their finance manager would be with us shortly. Well... after 2.5 hours of waiting someone finally came for us. The finance person mentioned he was not assigned to us, but was taking our file because the original person was still busy. He did a nice job handling our paperwork, but I was very annoyed and slightly irritated that we had to wait so long. In the end the final finance paperwork only took 20-30 min to complete, yet we were there for 3 hours. Unacceptable! Conclusion: I was very happy with the help and service Joel provided me during the sale and anytime thereafter while I was present at AutoNation. David was very courteous when working on the final sales price. The finance department needs to get their act together as they are the final step of the car buying experience, which will and in my case has impacted my experience at AutoNation. If the last step with finance had been better managed I would have given AutoNation a perfect 5.
