I work in the service industry and I understand that sometimes there are many variables in a situation that might be out of one's control leading to customer dissatisfaction. I have had a truck in the shop at Brown Chevrolet Eagle Pass no less than four times for the fuel gauge reading empty. We would take it in and the truck would get worked on. Then we would take it back to the fuel and it would happen repeatedly, meaning it was not resolved. However, communication is horrible at Brown Chevrolet Eagle Pass; phone calls don't get returned and it is up to the customer to be proactive just to find out the status of the situation. Just to be clear there is one service manager and the front desk receptionist that are very helpful.

Dealer Response
Thank you for bringing this to our attention NHT1234. Your vehicle has over 100k miles on it so we had to do a full trouble shoot of the problem. GM sent out a bulletin that required us to troubleshoot the issue after we followed their recommendation in eliminating the issue. We must follow GM Engineering recommendation when the Engineers get involved. We have to operate under their guidelines when it comes to solving issues that they are involved in as far as recommendations to resolving repairs with proper steps that they instruct and require us to follow. We replaced the fuel pump but also noticed the gas tank was collapsing causing the fuel tank to malfunction. We replaced the gas tank as well and this ultimately solved the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience Sincerely, The Brown Chevrolet Buick GMC Team
