Scott Select
Dealership Sales Review
I purchased a 2013 Ford Focus from Scott Select. After I brought it home, it started shifting thru the gears badly and was almost un-drivable. After the initial spray odder dissipated, it smelled like cigarette smoke. They said they did a bio-sweep before I bought the car but they were unable to produce a receipt for that service. I don't think they did anything about the cigarette odder - they certainly did not change the cabin filter. During the initial negotiation, they gave me $200 off the sticker price, then I asked them to fix the cigarette burns in the seats and they said they would give me another $100 off if I would accept the seats the way they were. Later, they said that $100 was included in the $200 so I didn't get the $100 off for the seat burns. Very devious. The car was running very poorly so I took it back for service (had to wait 3 days for an appointment) and they said I would have to take it to a Ford dealership which I had to wait for another week for an appointment. So I was looking at 2 weeks of waiting for service with an almost un-drivable car. They would not take the car back and refund my money - I put less than 100 miles on the car and most of that was driving to and from Scott Select. They sold me a bad car - they do not stand behind their cars. I eventually had to trade it in for a Certified Honda at Scott Honda and during the process, the finance guy at Scott Honda said he used to work at Scott Select and he knew all to well the problems that I was having! WOW, that says a lot about Scott Select. We'll see about Scott Honda as I just picked up the Certified Honda, but stay clear of Scott Select..
