Manufacturer Defects not covered in bumper to bumper

onI have a 23 Expedition Limited and the chrome molding on the center console is bubbling up and peeling off. Ford says it’s NOT covered under the bumper to bumper warranty, more specifically the parts warranty. This is a known problem, yet Ford won’t cover it. Sad that you spend 80K on a vehicle and they won’t cover a manufacturers defect (or parts defect).
