I emailed thier "internet sales manager" over 20 times over span of two weeks in attempts to get the best price on a civic. We finally came to a good price. I went in, they acted like they knew who I was, everything was cool, I was there waiting on them. But I thought that was ok because I was about to get a great deal on a car. I test drove it and all was great, until it came to pricing time. They then quoted me at 3k more than we talked about in our emails. When I brought up the price, my salesperson went to get the manager so he could try to convince me that I was an idot and that the price on the emails was just a base price. All of our discussions centered around an Out The Door price. They basically lied to get me in the door, then tried to [violative content deleted] me. Do not attempt to do business with them. They will just waste your time.

Crown Honda of Charlotte certainly ran me off today when I simply called about an unpriced internet ad for a used vehicle. The receptionist first transferred me to an invalid extension, so I called back, and waited while she paged the "internet manager" repeatedly. When "Richie" finally answered, I inquired about the price of the vehicle and he said he'd have to check on it and call me back in 10 minutes. I offered an email address instead (he is, after all, the INTERNET manager). I told him it would help me better organize all the quotes I was collecting. He was not amused and sarcastically remarked, "well obviously you don't want to give your phone number..." I politely repeated that an emailed price quote would be ideal for my situation, gave him the address, and he confirmed it. But his response was half-hearted and equivocal: "okay, I'll see if I can try to get that out to you in a couple of HOURS." So originally it was going to take 10 minutes, now it's hours? Shouldn't email be a preferred method of communication for someone whose job title has the word 'internet' in it? Slightly put off, I still cheerfully thanked him for his help, but his response was a monotone, disinterested "mmmm" which he followed immediately by hanging up. I've waited all day but still no email. I'm very put off. Even if I were to receive an email quote right this instant (unlikely since it's night time), I'd still be put off because of such lack of professionalism. Richie, if you're reading this, I seriously doubt I'll be doing any business at Crown Honda. I did not feel like you cared one way or the other about me as a potential customer. Our conversation left me with a very bad first impression, but at least now I know not to waste any more of my time with your dealership.
