Scott Clark Honda
Dealership Sales Review
First, let me say that when we purchased our Tundra from Scott Clark Toyota, it was a very good experience. I wish I could say the same for our purchase at Scott Clark Honda. My 18 year old son and his mother purchased a '98 Camry from SCH on May 7th. When test driving, my son told the salesman, David G, that the car pulled to the left. Mr. G said, "we'll put our best mechanic on it right away." Afterward My son was told that the front end had been aligned and was "perfect". On the way home my son noticed the car still pulled to the left. He went back to the dealer and was told "that's just the tires. It will go away after driving it for awhile." Everyone knows that tires do not cause a car to pull to one side unless the are mismatched, and that it won't "go away" in time. My son returned for a third time, and was told to just give it time. I then had my sin take the car to our local mechanic. He said the car had severe alignment issues and would wear out the tires in a short time if not repaired. The fact that the salesman took advantage of an 18 year old is one thing, to flat out lie is another. Mr. G LIED to my son about the alignment, the repairs done and the "problem will go away on its own." statement. The Scott Clark dealerships have a good reputation in the area, but continued service like this will ruin that reputation very quickly. I would NOT recommend Scott Clark Honda to anyone in general and Mr. G specifically. This is a very difficult lesson for my son, and unfortunately, the "used car salesman" lived up to the stereo type.
