Friendly Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram
Dealership Sales Review
We purchased a used truck from "Friendy" Dodge. The salesman was very pleasant with trying to find the correct truck - and we ended up with a nice looking Dodge Ram with all the options. The price was fair and I felt good about a "hometown" buying experience instead of some "mega" wholesale store. However, soon after (about 7 months and 6k miles) we started having major problems with the truck. The truck was about 3k miles past its Dodge warranty coverage (of course). It was eating coolant like crazy - it needed two head gaskets, the heads milled, all new cooling lines, a thermostat, a radiator, and a new heater core. This involved a ridiculous amount of labor and ended up costing nearly $3,500 to get the truck to run correctly. I didn't have the option to get rid of it as we still owed on the truck and they aren't worth much not running. This dealer did nothing to help and was RUDE! - even offensive at times, offering me a 02 Dodge Durango with 130k+ miles for my 04 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Quad with 73k miles (that I paid $13.5k for 7 months earlier), and they wanted me to pay them on top of it for that trade - HA. Long story short - the reason I went to the hometown place was the perception of them standing behind what they sell - HA, with service after the sale like that, I'll be visiting the mega store for my next truck for sure - after all, what more could have really gone wrong? I am extremely dissatisfied customer and would recommend not going to Friendly where they are only friendly when you're writing the check.
