I researched my vehicle and prices through various sources and visited two other dealerships before I came here. A friend of mine buys only from Van Bortel. I went to their website and built my car so I knew exactly what it was going to cost -- and it was a pleasant surprise to see the savings! Let me tell you, it was worth the 2 1/2 hour drive. I overheard another customer say they drove 4 hours to get here. Their prices are great, they are upfront about posting the MSRP for models and options and then giving you their prices. Their posted price for the model I wanted was below what Consumer Reports listed as the starting point for negotiations. This dealership is all about volume and that's how they make their money -- not by selling a couple of cars at the MSRP. Everyone was pleasant to deal with and the test drive was relaxing and fun because you don't have salesperson talking in your ear the entire time. No hidden agendas here. Test drive locally, but make the trip here -- you'll be glad you did. To make it even more relaxing, there is a refreshment station with beverages and snacks.
