Dealership Sales Review

4 out of 5 starssales Rating
Service fantastic, Sales--very mixed!
Written by Tom on 11/11/2019

Note: This place literally pays you to leave 5-star reviews. Service and Aaron Potocny can have the 5 stars, but I'm not giving this dealership as a whole that rating. Forget their stupid gift card. It just isn't a square-dealing dealership. Let this be the first clue. To be clear: Fantastic service department. Period. Receptionist--also great. VERY MIXED sales experience, on two Subarus I leased from this dealership. In both cases, everyone was friendly and professional from start to finish, but the 2-4 managers you have to deal with between the salesperson (who's usually fine) and the final sale have always seemed like smarmy, deceitful [non-permissible content removed] like you might expect from a car dealership. Hiding fees here, evading direct questions there, trying to butter you up instead of doing business straight, wasting your time, making you sweat it out--not treating you like a reasonable consumer who knows what they want to spend, as I have experienced elsewhere (alas, when I lived in other states). I was furious by the time I finished making this deal. I will say, however, that on both occasions, I found that when I met with yet another employee to do the final paperwork, where they could potentially try to upsell you on a million other products and protection plans you probably don't need--that was a pleasant, pressure-free situation that left me feeling ok. They didn't blow that. Tom was great. The Russian guy I dealt with four years ago was also great. Aaron Potocny was my salesman this time, and he was a real human being--down to earth, candid, and always available when I had questions via text message throughout the week-long process of deciding which car and which dealership I wanted. He had a disarming sense of humor and was easy to talk to. If it weren't for that, my wife and I would have gone elsewhere halfway through this deal. I had zero goodwill for this place by the end, except for Aaron. (I still might have brought my car for service here, though--make no mistake! Service department is 100%!)
