Dover Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram FIAT
Dealership Sales Review
My husband received an offer letter from Johnson Dodge for a good trade in value on our 2008 Dodge Ram truck. While looking at used cars at multiple dealerships, a woman from Dover Dodge called my husband & told him to come in & look at some of their truck & to bring the letter from Johnson & they would see what they could do (leading us to believe they would try to work with us & come close to what Johnson was offering). So we went to Dover Dodge on Saturday. The salesman we worked with took the letter to a manager – Rich, to look at. To keep the story short – What they offered us on a trade wasn’t even half of what Johnson had in the letter & not even close to what Kelly Blue Book’s low end for trade in value. They wouldn’t budge on the trade in value nor the value of the used truck we looked at & it was $150 / month above what we said was our max budget. We said we weren’t going to buy anything & ask for our letter back, the letter was conveniently missing. They first lied to us & said another employee took it home in their brief case. When I demanded they call that employee & get the letter back, the employee didn’t have it nor did he know where it was. In fact none of the employees knew where it was, & they didn’t seem to be too concerned to look for it just shuffled some papers around. Scott Zedowski (General Sale’s manager) didn’t seem like it was a big deal, & gave me no indication that he would actually continue to look for it. The following Monday I called Scott & he “said” he was looking for it, but did seem hopeful (because he know it was already thrown away). Another woman who I spoke to said it was probably thrown away & why did I want it anyway. So this shows me that this company does not value their customers & their property. The letter was supposedly given to a manager & he can’t be responsible enough to return a document that they had for no more than an hour. Scott also lied to us when he said he contacted the sales manager at Johnson – he just called another sales person he knew at Johnson. That was just some of the BS I was told. We did go to Johnson & they thought it was pretty shady what Dover Dodge did, & offered us $3,500 more for our truck than Dover’s offer. Dover was just looking for a sale & when they couldn’t get one from us they conveniently made our letter disappear. I don’t trust this dealership & would never do business with them & have warned my family & friend! So if you are looking for a car, there are many other dealerships, go to one that can be trusted & treats their customers better.
