A Completely Wonderful Experience

My husband and I have had a rough couple of years financially, with multiple layoffs in his job as a union plumber, the loss of my job, and a medical emergency that finally pushed us into bankruptcy. Throughout, we managed to continue making our mortgage payments and car payments, and continued after the discharge. Unfortunately, our attorney did not reaffirm our car loans as we requested, and we found out that our on-time payments were not being reported to credit agencies to help us rebuild our credit. I had visited multiple dealers, including the one we've bought or leased our last three vehicles at, to try to get a smaller, more affordable vehicle, better on gas, and at a lower lease payment while having payments reported to the credit agencies to try to repair and rebuild my credit. Some, especially my long-term Toyota dealer, were downright rude to me, treating me as if I were incredibly stupid to think that anyone would deal with me because of my recent financial history, some were just sorry that with my poor credit, they couldn't get me to a payment I could afford. When I walked into All American, they directed me to Ansoni R., who at first, looked like a kid to me (turns out he's the same age as my oldest son!) but I was just tired of the same old run around all car dealers give, and didn't want to play the game yet again, so I just honestly told him that I didn't want to do the b.s. car buying dance as I'd just done for the past few days, told him what I needed and unfortunately he came to the same conclusion as all the rest of the dealers had, they couldn't do what I really wanted and needed. But he was kind and did not treat me like a dirtbag because I had been down on my financial luck. I appreciated the time he took, and that he did not get an attitude with me. I left feeling defeated but hopeful that by saving up some more $$ for a downpayment, I might be able to do it a couple months down the road. In the meantime I was still looking at paying 2 car payments and not having my on-time history being reported, which was discouraging. In the car on the ride home, Ansoni called me and told me that he had gone to another staff member at the dealer, explained my situation, and were going to take a chance on me and get me into a nice vehicle at the price I needed to be at! I was amazed. I believe that without his going the extra step, I would not be driving a brand new smaller, vehicle at a lower monthly payment than what I had been making. Ansoni and All-American Ford are AWESOME.
