Dealership Sales Review
Walked in on the next to the last day of the month with 3 dealer ads selling the car for 500 under invoice. They tried to negotiate but I told them I would just drive to the other dealer ( 200 miles but for 500, why not).They gave me the price and had to locate the car. Called on Monday with a car with more options, so I refused. Three days later they called to say they found car I requested and delivered 2 days later. They tried to make me pay the documentary fee and once again I refused so they settled for a small fraction.Salesman was nice & polite but could not make any decisions. As long as you have the money, they were desperate. They also pleaded on the survey and I I told them the deal was not yet complete. Picking up the car was a nightmare getting tossed from the salesman, to the finance office, then to the delivery manager. Key issues are to go when they are desperate and be almost totally rigid. Do not trust or sign anything - They asked me to sign a release of liability if there was a problem - not a chance. There are many dealers out here that will sell the car below invoice to move the unit.
