Lynnes Hyundai
Dealership Sales Review
I submitted several requests for quotes on a 2010 Santa Fe. Lynnes Hyundai provided me with the lowest quote of about 10 dealers, so naturally, I was eager to follow up. I spoke with Jim and he seemed like an honest enough guy. I did find out that Lynnes does NOT include the destination fee in their quotes - something most Hyundai dealers do- but even with the $800 added on, their quote was still competitive. As a result, I emailed Jim, asking him to come down about $500 and he would have my business. He replied back that he'd be giving me a call. A few hours later, Jim called and said that he'd match whatever best offer I had received.. excited (and naive) I thanked him and told him I'd be buying my car from Lynnes. The next day I received an email about going over pricing so that we 'were on the same page'. At the time I thought favorably of the email and the fact that there would be full disclosure before the sale. The next evening I made the call, and Jim broke down the pricing - but for some reason, the base price on the Santa Fe went up $3500! No, not because of taxes, or fees or anything else- the base price was nowhere near my original email quote. I was confused... so after tallying all of the numbers, I emailed Jim back regarding the large difference in the base prices.. not surprisingly, I did not get an adequate explanation.. So put Lynnes in the category of dealership who will say anything to get you in the door...
