Jim Marsh Kia
Dealership Sales Review
I would like to start off by saying that I purchased my vehicle in 2014 which was the worst mistake of my life. It is now 2 1/2 years later and I still have had nothing but problems with this dealership. I first would like to start off by saying DO NOT work with Lester in sales when looking to purchase a vehicle. I feel that I am paying way more for my car that I should, I feel he does not have the customers best interest at heart, he will fight to put you in any car on their lot regardless of your budget, and I truly feel he only has his own pockets in mind in regards to any sales quotas or commissions he is trying to achieve. I also made the mistake of referring my best friend to this dealership less than a year later who also was stuck with Lester. He quoted and wrote down a price that she would be comfortable paying for each month then after leaving to speak with her husband and coming back to take that deal they then told her that they would not be able to get her that price and she was stuck paying almost $50 more a month. While also there with my friend I had expressed interest in a Camaro but made it clear that I was not ready to go through the paperwork on that car yet since I felt my credit was not where it should be. I informed Lester of my current credit score at that time and not wanting to put any money down and he assured me that he could get me into the Camaro, my payments would be around the same as my current vehicle if not less, and even took me on a test drive for nearly 30 minutes. So after doing my paperwork he comes back to me letting me know that the Camero would be an extra $200 a month and I would have to put 2 to 3000 down. Then after seeing my frustration the first thing he says to me is well with that credit score the chances of you getting this payment for this amount down were slim to none. But if I informed him of my information prior to any paperwork being ran he should've been able to provide me that information upfront instead of put me through the ringer to see if he can get his self another sale. The next complaint would be against Todd and Paul in the service center. Anytime I have called just to ask general questions or schedule routine maintenance the representatives are rude, they talk down to you, have smart remarks, condescending tones, and go out of their way to prove their intelligence in the field of vehicle maintenance. They expect anyone who call about their vehicle to be expert and anytime you ask a question that may not make sense to them they answer your question by making you feel dumb or as if you should have known the answer already. I truly would NEVER let anyone in that service center even look at my car in the fears of them purposely breaking something else or sabotaging my vehicle out of spite or for laughs and giggles. The next person who is a hinder to this establishment would be Miss Vaughn Marie. She is the receptionist who answers the phone when you call this business. Her line and I quote is "Thank you for calling Jim marsh Kia, this is Vaughn, how may I direct your call?" Although she asks how can she direct your call when she answers the phone, when you tell her which department you would like to get to she feels it's her job to ask you more questions on why you need to get to that department. The kicker is when you continue to ask her to simply transfer you to the department you need to get to she then gets frustrated because you won't go in depth on your reasons for the call today. As someone calling in I am not going to give you a full description on my reason for calling this establishment just for you to transfer me to someone else and have to explain everything again when you can just do your job and do what you ask to do when you answer the phone and transfer me to the department I feel necessary at that time. On Thursday, August 18 I had to call into that dealership nine times because of hanging up on her twice because she did not transfer me like I asked but the other seven times was from her picking up hanging up picking up hanging up picking up hanging up every time I called. I find that to be completely unprofessional because you never know who could've been calling you the three times you decided to pick up and hang up the phone without even saying hello then the fourth time when she did pick up the phone she answers the phone screaming and hollering saying if you're not going to tell me what you're calling for today then I'm not going to transfer your call. Because of her not being able to do her job is simply transfer a phone call I had to physically stop what I was doing burn my gas put miles on my car and drive to the dealership directly to get my question answered because it's obvious I was not going to get it resolved over the phone that day. Which now leads me to the next person to complain about whose name is Tommy in the finance department. This guy carries himself as if he owns the place or his word is the tell all be all when in reality he wears a red shirt and khakis just like everyone else and even has to share an office. He speaks to you with a nonchalant tone, talks to you as if he is trying to downplay your issues or concerns, and makes absolutely no effort whatsoever to resolve your problem. When I spoke with him the next day in regards to the status of my warranty not only was he unsure if it was even valid or not, but then tries to promise me that the repair I need to my car would be covered under a warranty which he wasn't even sure was still valid or not. Once telling him that I would not leave my car at the shop or do any more business with this establishment the most he can say is I'm sorry I wish I could help more. He made absolutely no attempt to offer me alternative suggestions or solutions to the problem that was brought to his attention and once he realized that I was no longer doing business with this dealership he showed no empathy whatsoever. He made it very clear that the $526 I pay a month for the car I purchased from them was of no importance whatsoever. Now the icing on the cake is when I called the dealership today I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner Mr. Marsh himself. After taking the time to explain to him all of these incidences, experiences, and expression this dealership has left in my brain HE HIMSELF even made the suggestion that I should get my car fixed or TAKE MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE. He also showed no empathy to my problem showed no concern for the multiple rude employees in his establishment and was content with telling me to go somewhere else. I can honestly see where his employees get their behavior from and feel it is acceptable to treat their customers this way because the owner himself is leading by example. The people in this establishment including the owners himself have this complex as if that dealership is the only dealership in Vegas, if you don't buy a car from them or if you don't get your car fixed from them then you're going to be worse off because they're the only dealership who can provide proper service in Vegas. I just want to leave off with saying if you don't Buy there you will Save there. You will save yourself from overpaying for a car, you will save yourself from terrible customer service, you will save yourself from the headache that comes with dealing with anyone who works for or is affiliated with Jim Marsh Kia!!!
