Dealership Sales Review
I bought the above referenced kia on 6/22/15 at Napleton Mid Rivers Kia in St Peters, MO. WE test drove a optima and my wife decided she wanted a similar model in red. So the dealer procured the red kia from another dealer while we waited.. We started doing the paperwork in the office when i noticed that the VIN number did not match....the dealer was processing the vin number of the car we test drove. I pointed out the error and the correct paperwork was processed. Two days later I had to drive to the dealer to get the title so i could license the new kia. I went to the motor vehicle office here in troy MO and did all that was required. I thought everything was right until 12/8/15 when my wife was hit head on by another vehicle, breaking both her legs, the new kia was totalled. We had full coverage plus GAP insurance so I thought we were covered. On 12/16 I started to process the paperwork to transfer ownership of the car to our insurance company. Then I found the mistake, made by the dealer. The dealer gave me the wrong title, they gave me the title to the vehicle we test drove. So on the 17th of december i went to the dealer. The finance guy blamed the office girl michelle. So i went and saw michelle and she said it would take 3-5 days to fix this. I called yesterday, 12/31/15 and it is still not resolved! I cannot get paid by the insurance company or get the GAP money without a valid title!! The dealership created this problem yet the finance guy has never called to see if it was resolved, neither has the manager of the dealership. This needs to be resolved ASAP!! I will never buy a KIA again nor will i ever do business with a Napleton dealership. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau next and whoever will listen. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!
