After speaking to a salesman who thought they would be able to get close to my $9k asking trade price, I show up after taking off work early only to be told the trade value was $3k. This was after I had sent detailed pictures, VIN and went through the pre-approval process. I feel this was merely a way to get me in the door, with the hope I was going to let them bend me over on broken promises! There was no offer to reconcile this deal in any way.
