Pat Peck Honda in Gulfport
Dealership Sales Review
*Lied about Apr%, lied about my trade in value, AND ABOUT THE VEHICLE ITSELF* GO ANYWHERE ELSE. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at any dealership and that's including buy here pay here places. Firstly they showed me a car and I liked it so we moved on to see about financing. They couldn't find the vehicle in the system and I heard them calling around to find out why it was on the lot but not in the system. That should've been red flag number one but I thought things happen so I waited another three or so hours. Finally get to the finance office and the numbers weren't adding up at all so I ended up leaving. I had told them I needed a certain monthly note and the finance manager said he would call the bank personally and see about getting me a low apr. He calls back a hour or so later and tells me honda approved a 5.59 % apr. But instead of being 685 a month it would be 655. That was close to a 9% apr drop and it should've been a more noticeable difference in payment. I then asked if I put 5,000 down what would it be per month. I was told 573. Something still just wasn't adding up because no matter what I did i didn't get the same numbers they were getting even with the breakdown in front of me. I then noticed they had removed the 500 on my trade in (and presented me with a separate paper I did not sign) so instead of 11,500 trade in it would be 11,000. They did, however keep the 250 discount they gave me, Not too much of a big deal, but shady for sure. I decided to go to Honda of Slidell because they seemed to have better prices and I could get a 500 discount for being a graduate (which honda of gulfport didn't advertise) when I found a car there and asked to be ran through honda because I know I was approved I found out that they never had me at a 5.59 interest rate (that doesn't even exist unless you have 800 credit score and ir would be like 4.9 something apparently) and that they had done the loan on a different vehicle all together. They had told me It was a 2025 honda civic ex-l hatchback. The loan was for a 2024. So they tried to take money, or add money, they lied about the apr and they even lied about the vehicle. I'm not even sure what vin they had on my paperwork . I would've found out the year when I went to do my tag and at that point I would've had quoted my insurance covering another vehicle and wouldn't have known anything until AFTER I opened the car 🙃 If you want a honda go to honda of slidell it's completely different company and they were amazing. They didn't lie to me about anything and were very straightforward. The salesmen even tried to talk me out of going higher in my budget. He was honest about everything and asked me if it was more important to have a nicer looking car or be in budget instead of just trying to upsell me to get a higher sale.
