This dealer his three prices...internet, newspaper ad and the real deal when you get there. test drive a used car we liked. First offer was higher than advertised price so we walked. Salesman emails back to come back to make a deal. We emphasize we need the advertised price. next day, we test drive again, and sit down for paperwork,an d suddenly, used car manager Mike N. appears and informs us the advertised price is a mistake.... Yeah, right, I offer to compromise and split it, but Mike's response was a Doozie... Claimed no one was selling the car as cheaply as he was, and he knew I really wanted it, so the best he could do was the price I originally had on day 1. I walked of course, went down the road and bought the exact car for my price. [non-permissible content removed]. Left message for the GM, but I'm not going to hear from him... Plenty of legit dealers to buy from. Avoid metropolitan Ford.

Dealer Response
I apologize for your experience at our store. We strive for everyone to have a great experience, but sometimes things happen that we can control, and sometimes there are things that are beyond our control. When a vendor puts out a price that is incorrect, which happens from time to time in every business that advertises, that is beyond our control. We did get a retraction letter from the newspaper which I believe was emailed to you. If you did not get it, I would be glad to resend it. Just to clear up some facts: 1. The vehicle was advertised on at least 6 websites at the correct price, one of which is what your internet lead to our dealership came in on. 2. You and your wife were both in our store on Saturday and were quoted, in writing, the correct price and left that night to think about it at that price. On Monday, my salesman followed up with you and you said your wife wanted to come drive it again but we needed to work on the numbers. He told you we are not a one price store, so come in and we will see what we can do. After driving it, that is the first time you brought up the newspaper ad. My salesman said it's probably a misprint, but he would bring it to his manager. That is when Mike (Used Car Manager) came out and said it was a misprint and offered you $500 for your inconvenience. Nobody at this dealership ever got you into our store under the premise of selling you the car for $3000 less than our internet price. While it was very nice of you to offer to pay more than what you thought our advertised price was even though another dealer would sell you the EXACT same vehicle for your price, it was never offered by us. 3. My General Manager retruned your call the same day and left his name and contact info. He also tried 3 more times that same day, just not leaving a message every time.
