I brought my leased vehicle in for an oil change about a week ago and inquired with the service manager about a noise I hear sometimes after I stop and pull off again. I was told it sounded like defective calibers on the vehicle and i was given an appt to come back on 7/26/22. When i brought the vehicle back, i was told that the calibers needed to be oiled and 1 rotor had some wear on it because of the drivers side caliber was sticking. I was told he needed to oil the calibers, turn the rotor, and my car should be like new again. The service tech did exactly that then charged me $199.00 and said the car was fixed. I paid the money for the repair however before i could leave the parking lot good the same issue that i paid to have resolved was still broken. I went back in all the service techs said they couldn't hear the problem. I begged the service manager to go for a test ride with me along with the service tech and we all heard the problem. At that point the manager said to me that now the problem is we need to replace all the brand-new brake pads all around the entire car and also replace all the calibers and rotors all with factory parts. He changed his entire theory as to why the car is still making the noise because I don't think he knows what's wrong. Then he said the calibers were rusted and I'm responsible for that! My car has 37k miles and I leased the vehicle like the other two KIAS prior to this car and the reason is because on a leased vehicle the dealer maintains the maintenance. I believe the car has defective calibers. I also believe the manager should have looked into the manufactures warranty to see that the calibers were (are) covered for the duration of my lease. When I leased this vehicle, I purchased a tire and wheel protection and every other protection they offered so I can't understand why I'm dealing with this and I'm not quite 3 years into this lease. This complaint is because I was charged for a service they did not provide, and my car is still undriveable. And when I mentioned this isn't right and requested a refund, I was threatened and told to leave the dealership, or they would call the police. In essence I was told that they're not fixing my car and to get the hell out of the dealership.
