Absolute stereotype of a sleazy car dealership. I love my Honda & I wish I could say the same about this Honda dealer. Commonwealth Motors conducted business unprofessionally & blatantly disregarded their legal obligation to comply with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B, specifically). As a customer & as a consumer, I took the appropriate actions to report my concerns through the proper channels, & was systematically disempowered by Commonwealth Motors throughout one of the most important financial transactions in my credit history. Aside from sexual harassment & dubious intimidation tactics by Business Manager John Murray, Commonwealth Motors failed to handle my complaints on every level--from Mr. Murray, to the Sales manager Andre Willis (who called me at WORK to scream*** at me for answers on a corporate survey), to the owner's daughter, to the owner himself (who I've yet to hear from since I made the complaint on 1/24/15). Complaint was made upon picking up the vehicle to Mr. Willis & was told I would receive a personal call within a week--FALSE. Only automated mail/cookies, until I completed a corporate survey--after allowing 3 wks for resolution. When I finally left a voicemail for Mr. Daher (after Mr. Willis berrated me at WORK), he had his daughter call me back to say she was "sorry I didn't have the outcome I was looking for." I had to redirect her pitiful conflict resolution. I feel badly for all of Mr. Daher's daughters, who choose to work in a toxic "boys club" environment. Ms. C Daher said her father would contact me directly the following Monday--after three weeks, I still haven't gotten that call. In fact, two months after purchase & complaint, I've gotten radio silence and verbal abuse. I reported all of this to Honda corp. directly after Mr. Willis accused me of "ruining lives & careers" by completing surveys truthfully. I was told Honda will contact the dealer. That's it. I take serious issue with this practice. Honda benefits directly from this treacherous transaction, & continues to profit from the dealer through kick-backs & the financial gains from stocking the dealers, Honda is condoning gender-biased discrimination & harassment, & also rewarding Commonwealth Motors for its illegal practices. I have been a Honda owner for 10 years; my first opportunity to purchase a brand new Honda vehicle was tainted from start to finish. It is truly appalling to witness the wanton disregard of respect, financial integrity and consumer legal rights by a car brand & a car dealership. To take no action is to act in favor of misogyny and violations to consumer protections. If you are still inclined to shop this dealer, do not do so alone--they will deny & disregard ANYTHING other than positive reviews--& if you are honest and had a 'less than 5 stars' experience, they will come after you like thugs. They will whine & yell at you, without ever actually resolving the issue--then blame you for it apparently. I was promised by Anthony Vancini a follow-up call/e-mail to 'check-in.' Not a word until 2 months after sale--& only after all the complaints I made about my experience--this is unfortunate as he was relatively benign compared to his co-workers. Also be advised: no common courtesy here; they will not offer to take your coat, they will not offer you water/tea/coffee--and if you ask, they'll tell you to use a public drinking fountain around the corner. Even if you are elderly or disabled--which I witnessed directly during the 2 hours of silence--you will sit & wait for a pompous Mr. Murray to criticize/rush through your financial reports via any tactics he may employ, based upon your age and gender. Oh also--when you meet with this guy, he will show you all the lenders who may have considered your loan--play close attention because he's sharing Consumer Information--I viewed at least 3 other customer names & lenders pending on the screen, right next to my personal and PROTECTED information. Not so protected it seems. The worst part of this--Mr. Daher was present in the dealership during this travesty--right outside the open door of Mr. Murray. The fact that Mr. Murray is so bold to act like this near the owner is frightening. This man accused me of doing drugs, & also asked if I was on the phone with "my boyfriend or sugar daddy"--illegal to ask about when there is only one applicant. I was on the phone with my Financial Advisor--none of which is his business OR legal to ask about. On top of it, he promised a lower interest rate and more time to pay IF I signed up for an 'extended warranty'--which is illegal--then sneakily moved my payment to 30 days (not 45) after I removed the frivolous warranty--this caused significant complications to my finances and could have compromised my financial health had I not found this discrepancy before the payment date. Mr. Murray also made a horrific joke about his unborn child having Down Syndrome; yes just days before his wife was to be induced, he's joking about genetic defects. Mr. Willis chalked this up to "Mr. Murray talks too much." If you go here, know your rights and have it in writing; do not meet with these guys unaccompanied. I have sent this complaint to the BBB & the State Attorney General. I have also reported this dealer w documentation to Yelp for paying for positive reviews. Charlie will give you $10 for every positive survey up to $50, if you don't Mr. Willis will get NASTY with you. ZERO integrity; total henchmen.
