Dealership Sales Review
We found a great price on a used but mint condition Toyota Highlander that the dealership had taken in trade. From the moment we walked in the door, everyone was professional, courteous and friendly. There was never any high pressure, bait and switch, or any other tactic that one might associate with a used car sale. We knew that the price was very fair so there was no need to haggle. Our sales asociate, John M., was very personable and took the time to be sure that all our questions were answered, and that we were completely satisfied with the transaction. Our request to bring the car to our own mechanic for an independent opinion met with no resistance. When the only suggestion that he had was to install a new battery, it was done without hesitation. Little did we know that this would erase the readings in the car's diagnostic system, which made it impossible for the car to pass inspection with having been driven for a "driving cycle" so that the sensors could take new readings. When John learned of this on the day we were to take delivery of the car, he took it upon himself to drive the car up and down Route 3 so that the computer would reset, and the dealer could complete the inspection and get us the vehicle at the time agreed. Even when we spoke to the finance manager, we were offered a better rate than we could get elsewhere, and although he presented us with many different possible aftermarket warranty plans, there was again no pressure to add any high profit extras. Overall this was a refreshing and pleasant car buying experience at a dealership that obviously values their customers. Highly recommended.
