Heritage Hyundai Towson
Dealership Service Review
I took my new used 2014 Hyundai Accent in to them because my mechanic said the problem he saw should be under warranty and to take it to a dealer. My "advisor", Wilbur Maurath, came back and said that the original problem was not a problem, but, (and this is directly off of my invoice), "SIDE DOOR AIRBAG SENSOR MISSING....EVIDENCE OF BODY WORK ON DOOR/SENSOR NOT INSTALLED NOR IS WIRING HARNESS CORRECT FOR SENSOR HOOK UP". Mr. Maurath told me that this may mean none of my airbags would work, as the sensors were all connected, and I should do this right away, very important, blah blah blah...$660 please!" So I went back to the dealer I had recently bought the car from and asked them about it, and when they opened up my car to install new parts there, the mechanic brought me outside to have a look and showed me that not only were the sensor and harness still there, but they were the original parts, perfectly intact and working just fine! Heritage hyundai were rude and unresponsive when I confronted them with the fact that I saw their lie with my own eyes, and that they had just tried to scam me out of almost $700 for absolutely nothing!!! I advise anyone going there to at the very least get a 2nd opinion on ANY work they tell you needs to be done, but ideally STAY AWAY from this dealership, they are [non-permissible content removed]!
