Dealership Sales Review
I was looking for a 2008 ML320. I really wanted the diesel engine, but I was shopping at the end of the model year, and the dealer did not have any more. My salesman, Gordon Chertoff, really went the extra mile. He located a ML 320 at a New Jersey dealership. Through the Mercedes-Benz dealer exchange program, Gordon was able to have the vehicle delivered to the Herb Gordon dealership here in Maryland for me to purchase. Now it gets more interesting. The vehicle arrived on a flatbed and was prepped by Herb Gorden. I purchased and took delivery of the vehicle immediately. On the drive home, I noticed a troubling vibration. The next day I reported the vibration to Mr Chertoff, who suggested that I bring the vehicle in immediately for service. I did, and the service department discovered that the tires had developed flat spots--no doubt from sitting on a lot for several months. The service department obtained authorization from MB to replace all four tires! The next day I was on the road, this time with no problems. I was very impressed with the finesse that the service department exercised when dealing with this problem. And I was also impressed with the assistance provided by Gorden, who, after the sale, went to bat for me and made sure I got the replacemet tires with no hassles. A real class act.
