Dealership Sales Review
My first contact with Andrew Farraher, Business Development Manager at Lexus of Naperville, was on a phone call from another dealer's parking lot to inquire about a previously owned 2013 Hyundai Tucson that was listed on their website. We had just lost out on another vehicle we were interested in purchasing due to it selling the night before at the dealership I was calling from, and I wanted to confirm the Tucson was available at Lexus of Naperville. Andrew was very friendly and helpful from the beginning and confirmed the car was indeed still there. Andrew greeted us when we arrived at the dealership and explained a little about Lexus of Naperville and their philosophy on customer care. Andrew introduced us to Steve Mills who would assist us with the car. While we continued to speak to Andrew, Steve readied the Tucson for our viewing by having the car washed. Very nice! Once the car was ready Steve explained the features on the car and then took us over to the Dan Wolf test track a couple minutes from the dealership. We were able to put the Tucson through a variety of environments on the 1/4 mile track, from panic breaking on wet pavement, to running down a cobble street to see how the suspension absorbs bumps. While we were test driving the Tucson Steve had the used car manager evaluate our trade-in vehicle. When we arrived back at the dealership we were ready to sit down and settle on a price. This process was painless as we quickly arrived at a mutually agreeable price on the Tucson and our trade-in. The reason the transaction was so fast is because Steve and everyone else at Lexus of Naperville didn't treat us like we were completely unaware of the Internet and the vast amounts of available information on automobiles, automobile pricing, trade-in values, etc. This level, of what I refer to as respect, was not what we received at some other dealerships we visited over the last couple of weeks. Also, keep in mind Steve, Andrew and the rest of the Lexus of Naperville team were not selling us a $60,000 Lexus, but were in fact doing their best to help us with a 3-year old Hyundai Tucson and our 10-year old Kia Spectra 5 trade-in. The finance part of the transaction was equally as trouble free thanks to the help of Business Manager Chandra Estrada. Chandra was able to get us the finance rate we were looking for as well as giving us options on additional warranty coverage. From arrival to departure we spent less than two hours completing our vehicle purchase at Lexus of Naperville, which for anyone that has purchased a car with a trade-in knows is a fairly fast transaction. The other great thing about purchasing a vehicle from Lexus of Naperville is that no matter if you leave with a brand new Lexus or a previously owned Hyundai you still get the great staff, and wonderful amenities (free car washes, free loaners, top notch service department, etc.), of a first class luxury dealership.
